I was at a rummage sale and found a vintage kitchen aid and they only wanted $5!!!It is a model 3B, has the original glass bowl and whip attachment.I'm still in shock.I found one on ebay without the bowl for $95.It works great and is in really great shape.I love antiques and I love baking! So I found the best of both.I really lucked out today.I already have a newer kitchen aid, I just don't have the money to pick up another one.Know I don't have to worry about it, at least for a while.I've heard stories of the KA lasting forever.Of course when I get home my husband says "why did you buy that!".Oh well,I just wanted to share my good fortune with people who know what a good find this was. party.gif

You have no idea how jealous I am!

That glass bowl will make you the best whipped cream and mousses you ever ate! Just freeze it for about 15 minutes before you use it to do your whipping!

Way to go!

Awesome! I love rummage sales, garage sales, all that stuff. LOL. Yeah, my husband is the same way. They just don't appreciate what you like. My husband says now, "Are you going thru the cake phase now?". I'm like, "I love doing alot of stuff, nothing to do, as I don't work (stay at home mother), and have no friends up here. (they are all in TX)." Yeah, I do go thru phases, but what else can you do. Hopefully I will stay with the cake one. LOL.

I wish I could find a kitchen aid for that price. At this point I will almost settle for any stand-type mixer. Our hand held (and only mixer) burnt out almost 2 months ago. I hate mixing all my cakes and icing by hand. It gets tedious after a while.

I'm so jealous! My DH idea of garage saling is to pull up, look and see if anything catches his eye, then driving off. Mind you--he doesn't get out.

You did'nt buy it they gave it away. Never could get that lucky I ended up having to go out and spend $$$$$ for a KA Heavy Duty mixer. Not that I am complaining I don't know how I ever got along with out it. Good buy! thumbs_up.gif
