Just wanted to ask those of you who have inspired me with your beautiful creations for any tips on how to make this very pretty type of cake.

First of all, I'll be using buttercream, not fondant. I'm not comfortabel with covering cakes yet but have done some molding with the nasty wilton stuff.icon_smile.gif

So, how did you guys get the angle of the spout to match the ball's side. I was thinking of using the cake pan for a model. Will that work?

Also, did you all use lollypop sticks to attatch the spout and handle?

I think that toothpicks might not hold it in place.

I'd appreciate any advise.
Thanks in advance

I used toothpicks and royal icing to attach my spout - I made mine out of MMF. I just sort of winged it on the angle of the spout - I am sure using the cake pan will work. HTH!

Good luck and don't forget to post your photos!!
