I'm new to cake decorating, but is there something simple I can do (maybe brush on) to make fondant shiny once it's been applied to a cake? Thanks.

to make fondant shiny you can use confectioners glaze for models etc..but what I use especailly on reds and blacks any strong colours where the icing sugar has left a mark is trex..or any white vegetable fat..you only need a little brush it on and it gives a beautiful finish on your fondant cakes......use it alot on my flat 2d cakes like the minnie mouse and scooby doo cake..and horse and rider..
