What is the best to use to attach fondant/MMF pearls to the cake?
I'm pretty sure I'm going to use the MMF to cover the cake but if I use fondant would you attach the pearls the same way?

Yes, probably with a spot of royal icing.

I just use a soft paint brush dipped in water or you can use white vanilla makes it stick.
