Just wondering how much (cup) this stick of butter would equal. I've only ever seen butter by the pound. I would love to try the buttercream dream recipe, but have no clue how much butter to use.

Thank you in advance for any and all answers icon_biggrin.gif

The small sticks of butter are generally 1/2 cup. The ones I have seen say how many Tbl / cups, etc. on the side of the stick.

A one lb. container of butter contains 4 sticks, each stick weighing 4 oz. or 1/4 cup.

I think there is a typo here -- A stick of butter is 1/2 cup there is 2 cups in 1lb.
