and the number one reason I will always be grateful that I am a baker:
1) Annoying door to door sales people are a thing of the past. All you have to say is, "Sorry but I have some cakes in the oven that need to be taken out."

I love that I can make cakes in pajamas and not wear any make-up and have my hair up in a scrunchee... ok maybe that was 12, 13 and 14. LOL

I told a door to door guy I had a cake in the oven and he said he'd wait!!! DH said I should have told him it was a wedding cake and that I would charge him for my time if he interrupted.

Cakes have gotten us out of a few monthly jams...

All of those things have come from real situations in the last month. The #1 reason actually happened to me this morning and I was blessing the baking gods for my escape route. Feel free to keep adding you own reasons.

I give my buisness card and brochure to the sales men that come to the door. I figure if their gonna try to sell me stuff they won't mind me selling to them!

I hand the sales phone calls off to my 4 year old.

I no longer have a garage full of paintings.. now I create a work of art and eat it.
