Could anyone tell me what they think is the best way to freeze a cookie? If my cookies are baked, decorated and dried, is it best to put in cello bags and then freeze? I was going to put them in containers, but I wasn't sure how to stack them - if not in cello bags, maybe some wax or parchment paper in between?
Also, what's the longest amount of time cookies can be kept frozen? I'm just trying to plan ahead. Thanks for your input!

i don't know about decorated cookies but i freeze mine plain. i wrap each one in saran wrap and then place them all into a plastic container. then when I defrost them I keep them in the container until they are thawed completely.
i froze cookies for almost 4 weeks and they came out of the freezer fine.

If they are already decorated, you can layer them in a container, separating the layers with parchment or waxed paper, or whatever.

When you defrost them, be sure you don't take them from the freezer into a hot room-it will encourage condensation. It will evaporate fine, the bright colors can bleed.

I wouldn't cello them before freezing, just in case any minimal condensation could effect the clear bag.

I read somewhere that cookies can be frozen for 6 months without any problems. But I don't know if that was a plain cookie vs. a decorated one.
