Well, I finally tried a FBCT thanks to Squirrelly for the wonderful buttercream recipe and tips! (she is so full of knowledge)
I think for the first time it turned out pretty good....please don't mind the border because I am still learning how to do them. (actually haven't really started in my course yet)
Please feel free to give any pointers or advice so I can improve.

Thanks everyone!

Your cake looks terrific, I love the detail in it, I haven't done a FBCT yet, but after seeing yours I think I will give it a try. I have done a chocolate transfer and it turned out OK but it curled and lifted alittle on me ! I love that you are trying all kinds of different techniques, you are going to be way ahead of your class when you start !
