I understand why this post was removed, but just so I am clear on this. Are posts of this nature - requesting fundraising help, against the rules? I didn't see the request re-posted anywhere and wanted to be certain that I understood the rules.

I just spoke to Jackie and according to the views of CakeCentral, this falls under direct advertising, so yes, it is not allowed. However she is contacting LC about posting it in another manner.

Good because I was going to buy a book for the cause & I needed to get back to the site you posted to click on. Ladycake told me how to do that paypal thing. Never done it before. Dawn, you know my email address right? Would you email me the info or just PM it to me? I'd appreciate it~ Sorry that things got out of hand last night. The fund raiser is a beautiful meaningful thing to do... Blessings are coming down on you & Victoria~

Seems like such a worthy cause to help one of the cake making family of friends who really needs it. It's not quite the same as advertising in this case, I don't think. Perhaps an exception could be made for this?? I know you guys get to make that decision, though. Well, hey, anyone reading this forum thread, PM to LadyCakes if you want more info on the fundraiser. I have the link, too.

It is really remarkable how folks are coming through for this lady, they are really working hard at this effort. I hope that everyone who is in a position to do so, will get involved in this worthy cause!

Ladycake...just wanted to let you know I got my cookbook today. All of you did a wonderful job putting it together. It must have been a lot of fun to do too. I'm eyeing the Key Lime Pie recipe. Might make that one for DM for Mother's Day...she loves Key Lime Pie. Thanks!
