Of course I had to try them. icon_smile.gif Has anyone else seen these?

They have a vanilla one and a chocolate. The vanilla was surprisingly pretty good. It was a yellow cupcake with vanilla buttercream. The cupcake tasted like your typical, all American yellow cake, and I could tell a mix was used. The buttercream was light and fluffy, similar to the WBH recipe, and clearly there was shortening in it, but it wasn't too bad for a shortening buttercream. It was decorated with little white dot things and had a flower on top, made out of sugar. Very cute.

I'm dying to try the chocolate one next!

That's just what I need! UGH! I'm on a diet and meet with some friends every other Thursday night at Starbucks. icon_cry.gif Willpower don't fail me now!
I did notice last time I was there that they had some very yummy looking cake in a loaf shape cut by the slice. It looked like it was a lemon pound cake of some kind. I was able to walk away from that, but I don't know about the news of this cupcake. icon_rolleyes.gif

I tried their double chocolate pound cake. I was not expecting much since I'm very picky about baked goods- but it wasn't bad. Good enough for me to buy it again the next time I was there. The ganache type frosting on top was good, and it was moist. But at almost 2$ a slice, it's not something I would buy very often. It's not THAT good. icon_smile.gif

I've seen them and they look delish! It makes me sick though because in the back of mind I'm thinking, "I could make those AND sell them to a place like Starbucks". Actually, I'd like to get into the business of wholesaling pastries. They make so much profit off of those desserts!

LOL, my friend works at Starbucks and brought me over some cupcakes...and I didn't end up taking them because I had cake I had baked in the fridge! I told him he could give them to his brother because we already had cake, lol. Darn if I knew they were good I would have tried one icon_lol.gif
