Good morning everyone!

I have a cake due tomorrow, just a small 2-layer 1/4 sheet cake. They've requested that it say something about 40 and fabulous, with 'spring' colors. Any ideas? I'm usually great at coming up with something, but didn't get much sleep the last few days so my creative juices are low. Sure would appreciate any thoughts!

Happy Baking,
Beth

I did this cake, "fabulous at 40" - you could skip the bow and do some hot pink funky flowers w/ the leopard... that would be cute!

(just posted in birthday cakes).

Allison-love that cake! If the Fab 40 lady isn't as funky as allison's cake you could use pink and pale green. I love that color combo.

Well, here it is. I am not happy with this cake at all, the design looked much better on paper. thumbsdown.gif If I had more time, I would honestly scrape the frosting off and re-do it. Tye, your idea sounds fun! This is for a lady at a bank though, so not sure how well that would go over. LOL I loved the leopard print and flowers, but I asked the customer and she wasn't as excited about it as I was. So... I told DH I thought it looked like a chenille bedspread. Emailed a pic to my Mom (without giving her my opinion) and asked her what she thought. SHE SAID IT LOOKED LIKE A CHENILLE BLANKET too, but she likes chenille blankets. icon_confused.gif Oh well! Let's just hope the customer likes it more than I do! Thank you everyone for your thoughts!

I think it is great! It's just very festive and happy! (Can a cake be those things?) Just trying to say I like it! I bet the customer will too!
