I am always really careful and hand wash my pans up real ood then dry them off right away.... Welllllllllllll.............. I had several pans that I had used and my hubby said go ahead get ready and I will clean up the kitchen... which was icon_surprised.gif ... So I got around getting stuff ready and not thinking twice about how he cleaned them... I went on my trip never thought about it again... I got back in town and saw my pans sitting on cabinet... NO LONGER NICE and shiny they were like dull and spotted up with big white pasty spots now.. I asked him what he did and he said I cleaned them .... He said I put them in the dishwasher three times because they didnt come clean the first time still had little bit of cake crumbs... MEN! I never put my pans in dishwasher since I have read they will ruin them...

So do any of you put yours in the dishwasher or wash by hand....

I only wash mine by hand.Your pans are still usable but the detergent in the dishwasher has damaged the finish.

I hate doing dishes so I always put my pans in the dishwasher. They are dull looking but there is nothing wrong with them. They work just fine. I never have had a problem with them not coming clean the first time though. I use Cascade Complete and that stuff works great.
Don't worry! Your pans aren't ruined!

I always use my dishwasher except for the really big pans (what a pain they are!!!). I don't have any problems with them becoming dull or leaving spots. Does it really matter if they are dull? I figure if the customers see the dull pans (but really how many do?) they would think that I have a lot of use for them and that would be a good thing, right? When I'm in the middle of a cake or even done with a cake the thought of any more work is not something I look forward to. LOL

I put them in the dishwasher too and haven't noticed any spotting or discoloration. Even if I did, I would still put them in the dishwasher.

So your husband knows where the dishwasher is and how to operate it? Apparently in my home the dishwasher is invisible unless you have a uterus that somehow enables you magically see things that others can't. Like dishwashers, overflowing garbage cans and dirty laundry, to name just a few.

Funny lotsoftots! I also put all of mine in the dishwasher. They are kind of dull, but cook the same. I HATE washing anything by hand and avoid it if at all possible!

My personal theory is: If it won't fit in the first load - it will fit in the second!!!!
