Well, what *I* call chocolate almond buttercream is just the Wilton recipe of 1/2 butter/1/2 crisco with almond and vanilla extracts and 2 TB cocoa powder.

1 cup crisco
2 sticks butter
Creamed with 2 TB Hershey's Cocoa

Add 2 lbs. conf. sugar alternately with 2 TB milk; 2 tsp pure almond extract and 2 tsp pure vanilla extract.

(BTW, you can add more cocoa if you want it more chocolatey but I prefer the two TB.)

Twins: Sorry for the delay. Can't stay online all the time even though I would like to!!!!

Here is the recipe I was given for Chocolate Almond Buttercream from a friend of mine.

2 cups butter-flavored Crisco
1 TBSP vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
1/2 tsp butter flavoring
10 TBSP water (more as needed)
3/4 cup cocoa (sifted)
2 Lbs powdered sugar

Cream Crisco; add flavors and water. When blended well add sifted cocoa and powdered sugar.

I have found that this recipe needs more water as it has been pretty dry. IHope you like this
