When I think of mini cake I think of either the small centerpiece cakes placed on tables at weddings or smash cakes for little ones.
They sell mini pans and you can decorate them just like a wedding cake.

sometimes people will literally order hundreds of these and give one to each guest at a wedding......or use them as the centerpiece and the divy up the cake for the people at that particular table!!! I dread ever getting an order of them one for each guest yikes!!!! well wait............that would be a ton of money so maybe not LOL

Thanks Lisa

That helps but the cake looks pretty big from where I am sitting. Do you know the diameter of those pans.

I use them all the time. I have a set of 3, 4 & 5 inch pans that look awesome stacked like a wedding cake.

I am still looking for paper or plastic box's to deliver them in though. icon_cool.gif

I've also seen a pan that has all three tiers as one... does that make sense?? it looks like 3 tiny tiers but its one pan. its tiny enough for me to use as sample cakes too.

i also fill them like you would a cupcake.

I'm not sure on the dementions, but check out the coffee mugs next to them for size reference. You can do a google search for mini tiered cake pan set.

I have a little pan that is two tiers together, 3" and 2". I put it on top of a 4" and it's adorable. icon_smile.gif Sometimes I go as big as a 6", 4", and 2" and still call it a mini.
**added** there are several of these in my photos if you want to look! icon_smile.gif

In the early 70's the "in thing", in my area was mini teired wedding cakes.Wilton used to sell the pans, seperator plates, pillers, and carboard round as a whole package. I used it for a lot of small occasions that needed a simple elegant cake.
I also sold them cheep to couples that could'nt afford a large cake.
Does anyone remember those pans?
