the buttercream is white and the fondant black or brown (not sure yet) its a heart tuxedo cake. I heard working with black fondant is a pain thats why I have not decided yet

Black fondant is a pain. I like to tint mine grey than paint it black with watered down gel colors. I know it sound like alot of work but the black tends to grey up or crack on me... I don't know if that helps...

I would make mine with mmf not wilton's. Wilton's does not taste very good

I think that made up my mind and I am going to go with the crusting buttercream and ......cross my fingers and hope it works.
I tried the mmf for fun last night and I got little hard pieces in it I don't think it was that easy to work with.

Depending on how big the cake is you my be able to get away with candy clay???

Or you could try the pour fondant in black and then add the white accents...
