Ok...I can't stand Wilton's fondant. And where I live that is all I can buy premade. So I figured I better figure out how to make it from scratch.

I'd love some pointers. I'm making it tomorrow..

try the MMF ... recipe posted on this site ... that's all I use ... not only does wilton taste bad ..but it's also more expensive. good luck

The have a recipe for marshmellow fondant in recipes.. SO easy to make and taste good...

MMF is a good one to try, and if you don't like it, you're only out a couple of dollars. If you use the recipe from this site, most people will tell you to not use all 2#of the powdered sugar. Probably about 1 1/2-3/4 will do. Some do it by hand, some use their mixers. I use my KA and it works fine. Just make sure you have shortening on hand. It keeps it from sticking to everything and it a little can be added if it gets too dry. Good Luck!
