Ok...I can't stand Wilton's fondant. And where I live that is all I can buy premade. So I figured I better figure out how to make it from scratch.
I'd love some pointers. I'm making it tomorrow..
try the MMF ... recipe posted on this site ... that's all I use ... not only does wilton taste bad ..but it's also more expensive. good luck

Lol Just hope your mixing experience goes better than mine did!..
Lol here is that forum... so you can read what NOT to do... HAHAHA!http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-17237-.html
MMF is a good one to try, and if you don't like it, you're only out a couple of dollars. If you use the recipe from this site, most people will tell you to not use all 2#of the powdered sugar. Probably about 1 1/2-3/4 will do. Some do it by hand, some use their mixers. I use my KA and it works fine. Just make sure you have shortening on hand. It keeps it from sticking to everything and it a little can be added if it gets too dry. Good Luck!
