My First Fbct, For My Daughter's First Birthday!

Hey everyone,
I just thought I'd take a minute and post a pic of the cake I just finished up for my daughter's first birthday.
I did a FBCT, but I think I made it a little too thin, because part of the hand broke a bit when I transfered it, and the pooh's face isn't totally smooth, but other than that, I'm pretty pleased with the end result. Please let me know what you think.

OMG what a great cake. You did a great job on the fbct. And I love your writing. Wish I could write that good.
That is so nice! Pooh and friends are my daughter's favorite. Did you use a stencil or just a free style handwriting?
Nice job!!!!
Great job on the FBCT! I'm with everyone else too...how did you do that wonderful writing?
I just did my first one the other day. Yours is amazing, and so is your handwriting!! Is that FBCT too?
I am trying to get up the nerve to try a transfer. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours!
Thanks everyone for the great comments, I really appreciate it. I have to do another FBCT next week for another birthday cake for a girl from work's son. Hopefully it will turn out as well, if not better. I'll have to post pics of that one once it's done too.
The handwriting is freehand on this one, not FBCT, I just wanted it to look whimsical. I got the idea from an ad that I saw in a magazine that had similar curly-cue type writing. I was pretty pleased with the end result.
Thanks again everyone,
Melissa
Absolutely adorable! I agree with others comments on the writing-fantastic job. I know there are techniques one can use to help with writing on cake. but I am challenging myself to perfect my free style writing. Whenever I can I practice my writing. When I am done decorating a cake and have a little leftover icing in a bag, I store the decorator bag in a ziploc for practice writing later - after I have cleaned up the mess and recovered from the current project.
FBCT is the short form for Frozen ButterCream Transfer.
It's very easy to do, and you can find directions right here on the site if you're interested.
I plan to use this technique as much as possible, it makes everything move so smoothly, because you can do it in advance (I did mine they day before), then just "slap" it on the cake when you're ready.
I definately recommend this technique to all who may not have tried it yet.
Keep Decorating!
Melissa
