What if I don't have cream to make cream cheese frosting for my cherry chip cake? and also I needed almond extract but oculd only find imitation vanilla flavoring.is this the same thing

Hmmmm...my cream cheese frosting doesn't call for cream. Maybe use some milk? Almond extract and vanilla extract are nowhere near the same flavor. Almond is a classic flavoring for anything cherry. You'll probably be happier with the outcome if you go out and get some almond extract. But, failing that....vanilla is better than no flavoring at all.

opps didn't mean vanilla..lol. I meant I needed almond extract but couldn't find it. So I bought almond imitation flavoring..is this the sam thing?lol..i'm so silly.icon_smile.gif
