On almost all pound cake recipes I have found it says to bake the pound cake in a tube pan. Can you bake it in a 9" or 8" pan? If so what would change with the recipe? I have read that it's better to use for a 3-D cake!!
Please Help!!

Yes, you can, you may have to adjust the baking times (ie keep a closer on it while it is baking)

I just got a recipe for a pound cake baked in 10" rounds and it said to bake in a cold oven and set for 325 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Try that.

So glad I found this question as I was checking out alot of recipies on CC and they call for using bundt pans. Even though I have one, alot of these I would prefer to use 8-9" round pans and was wondering if it would make a difference, other than cooking times. Thanks for the info everyone!
