I got my mailbox news and happened to be looking at the events and found this:

When did you get your Mailbox News. I subscribed to it and ACD Feb 9th and haven't recieved either one yet.
My husband is annoyed with me asking if we got any mail because he knows what I'm waiting for.
The mini classes sound great. Too bad I work full time and can't get away. Maybe next time. Thanks for the info.
i'm already signed up for a full weekend of classes. i'm so excited. i can't wait to see how many cc members there will be. so who's already signed up and in what classes?!?!?!?
kneadacookie ~ what classes are you taking? I have NEVER taken any classes so anything I take would have to be beginners. Have to check with DH too to be sure he can watch the little one so I can go, may only have to be for 1 day ~ can you do that?

Hi Everyone,
I'm from Clarkston and would love to attend these but first of all I am not an ICES member. I spoke to a lady at the last Wilton classes I took and she is attending these but said it is rather expensive. Do all these classes take place during the week? I work full-time and would only be able to attend on the weekend. Sure would like to meet you nice people. Let me know - k?
Paula, click on the link I have in my first message. I don't think you have to be an ICES member in order to attend these classes (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The link shows all the class times, most seem to be 2 hours others are longer and its Sat, Sun and a Monday. To me anyway they don't seem to be priced too high ~ you are getting a lesson from a expert so these appear to be very reasonable.
Pumpkinroses ~ I just received my mailbox news this past Fri, I've received this since last year so its not a new subscription for me, it sounds like new subscribers are having a hard time receiving them.
you do not have to be a member. yes the classes are expensive. i am taking 4 classes and it cost almost $400. it was actually cheaper for me to sign up and become a member than it was to take the classes and not be a member. the registration fee included the membership. i received my newsletter last week.
i have 2 cookie classes with autumn carpenter and then 2 cookie classes with toba garrett.
i'm so excited i can't wait.
I must have posted about this too early! I posted about this a while back and no one responded or anything!
It's Sat, Sun and Monday. When you register, you can become a member of ICES at the same time, yes, the fee is tacked on, but I think it will be worth it. I signed up for a bunch of classes with Sandra Hargarve, one with Toba Garrett and one with Licholas Lodge.
I'm looking forward to it! Depending on how many day you go, I think the registration fees are different, so you get a bit of a break if you don't want to go classes on every day.
So I'll be there!
czyadgrl...i'm really sorry, i don't remember. which class do you have with toba garrett. there were a few other classes i wanted to take about cakes, but the 4 cookie classes took up all my time.
so, where exactly is everyone coming from?????
My DH said I could actually go since it's only about 2 hours away and I just remembered that on April 22 I have an ACF event I HAVE to go to because I'm in charge of the dessert table. I would love to take the classes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm signed up for wall-to-wall classes!!! My birthday is Nov. 1st which was the day the early registration ended, and my present from my dearest hubby was to pay the "tuition" for all those wonderful classes!!! I'm taking cookie classes from Autumn Carpenter and Toba Garrett, Classes from both Winbecklers, two classes of Nick Lodge, one from Sandy Hargrave and a few others. On Saturday alone I'm in 11 straight hours of classes!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!
we'll have to save a special lunch table for us ccer's
Definitely!!!

I'm signed up for the brush embroidery with Toba. So excited. I signed up for all cake classes this time around.
Did you all see the Mid-michigan classes that are this summer too? There's a link from the Michigan Ices page.
I actually work in Dearborn, right down the street, so these classes are super close, I'll be able to pop out of work early for the Monday afternoon class I signed up for.
Basically I signed up for 3 or 4 Sandy Hargarve classes (hers just all sounded so interesting to me). The Brush Emb. with Toba and the Midi Whimsical with Nicholas Logde. Depending on the budget at the time, I might try to pop into a nother class at the last minute.
i signed up for all cookie classes this time. i'll have to go back on and check out the mid-michigan classes for the summer. i don't remember seeing them before. there were several cake classes i really wanted to get into with roland winbeckler. i guess it'll have to wait until next time.
I'm excited!
What classes did everyone sign up for?
I got out the actual list this time..
Sandy Hargarve Basic Draping, Quick & Easy Borders, and Embelish Your Cakes.
Nicholas Lodge Topsy Turvey
Toba Garrett Brushed Embroidery
Can't wait!
czyadgrl....looks like we don't have any classes together.

OMG where did the time go?????? i can't believe it's tomorrow already. i'm so not ready
what an amazing weekend. the classes were so much fun. i took two classes with autumn carpenter and two classes with toba garrett(what a lady!!!)
yes, all the classes I went to were great. I think I'm still geeked about the Whimsical Cake class w/ Nicholas Lodge.
This afternoon ... Toba's class
I am so jealous! The classes I plan to take aren't until August and I don't think that there is anyone near here that plans on taking them. Did you meet any other cc members?
