Hello,

I just opened a little tub of Wilton's piping gell. I was doing a practice cake for my daughters wedding. Her wedding isn't until August, will this piping gell still be OK by then? Should I refrigerate it? Thanks for any help!

I think it should be fine. I have never refrigerated mine....and I usually have to stir it well before using it again. If it hasn't yellowed~ it should be ok.

It will be fine. I had a tub from a year ago this past Christmas that I've used recently. No bad smell or taste. No idea HOW long it'll keep. icon_biggrin.gif

I have had my cantainer for some time now. I use it from time to time with no problems.

According to information I got from Wilton, piping gel lasts anywhere from 12 to 24 months at room temperature.

I should ammend my statement regarding the piping gel...MY gel was purchased from my local cake shop. I think they MAY get it in bulk and then repackage in their own tubs. It could be Wilton, but I'm not sure. Guess I should think about dropping a few bucks here and buy new! LOL
