I go to Wilton 1 class with my best friend and my 16 year old daugher. Last night, we were doing the clown cakes. My daugher sitting next to me, needed another decorating bag, leaned over and proceeded to smash my yellow clown down the side of my cake. We all had a good laugh at how funny he looked.

Then my friend, (who can be quite a HOOT) got out one of these little beer cans she carries with all her cake toppers. and told me to give it to Clowny! I thought it looked quite appropriate, considering his position. The teacher thought it was pretty cute. Even my daughter got a chuckle.

I'm not sure if he's gonna show up here, but he's in my picture album. Thanks for looking! I just wanted to share some of the fun that can be had in cake classes.

The cake is cute, but more important is the time you and your daughter are spending together. Those are fun memories you will always share, and that is priceless. Thanks for sharing.

Too funny---I think your on to something, they should include the beer can in the Wilton kits. lol When I took the class we had a few that ended up that way.

I have to admit that made me giggle. I can just imagine, that he was having a rough day under the big top and needed to unwind a little. icon_lol.gif

Ooops, I guess it DID post after all, and twice! Silly me lol

Thank you all for your comments. I'm actually still laughing myself. I gave this cake to my neighbor who teaches at a nearby school. I'm always looking for someone to "off" my cakes on. So, when she said she would take any extra cakes I had for the teacher's lounge, this is what she got!

Hope they liked it. icon_biggrin.gif

I have to say, I am not fond of the clown cake that is normally made in the Wilton class 1, however this is so great! I think I would have enjoyed making the clown cake had I made a drunken clown! It should be the standard!
