For those of you who use royal flow instead of color flow....

What kind of a liquid do you use to thin down the royal icing recipe? Do you add more lemon juice? water? corn syrup??

Thanks icon_smile.gif

I've always just used water. Works for me!

I just use water, but I would think lemon juice would give it a little flavor.

So can you use royal interchangably with color flow?

I just had a disaster with my color flow pieces for my Wilton course 2 class and need to remake them. I don't have any color flow mix at home.

My DH (dumb husband in this instance) set my container filled with all of my flowers and color flow pieces from 3 weeks of class on top of the fridge to get them out of the way. He shut the door next to the fridge and they all fell to the floor shattering into a million pieces. So now I have to remake all of my flowers and my color flow pieces before my class next Monday!

Yes you can use royal icing. That's what was used before Wilton formulated Color Flow.

I use water, lemonjuice would work too. Would corn syrup harden up?
