safe packaging ideas needed for gumpaste

The flowers are done and I am almost finished wiring them into sprays for they can be just placed on the cake to make a cascade. Whew... it has been a lot of work.It takes many more flowers to do it this way I have found

I will take and post a picture in the next day or so


Ok so for the problem I need to carefully wrap and package to the arrive without breaking The aunt is driving from MO to Texas tissue papers and packing peanuts???? should I use a small box for each piece and then into a larger box?

How do I show them how to put them on the cake and in which order I thought about a tag on each and stack some cake pans for a picture gee I wish I had some cake dummys

When I order gumpaste flowers they arrive on a 1/4" piece of foam in a celophane bag in a box that "fits" the celophane bag - not tight but not loose enough to move around in it. I haven't received a broken one yet.

bubble wrap and paper towels might work. I made royal icing designs for the wedding cake i have posted and packed them in layers of bubble wrap and paper towels (to prevent sticking). I drove down from NJ to Florida with them and 99% of them made it (not counting the ones that i broke putting on the cake lol). Hope it works out!

What I've done is this - wrap the flowers loosely in bubble wrap and then place that in a large zip lock freezer bag. The important part is that you leave air IN the bag so that if anything presses against the bag - the air will not allow it to come in contact with the flowers (kind of like an air filled pillow). This has worked great for me. thumbs_up.gif
