I added gum tex to my fondant, so now it is getting hard. Is there any way to make it soft again so that I can use the leftovers for somethng else?

Try to microwave it for a few seconds.

You could try to work in some Crisco. Gum Tex is a hardening agent, so I'm not sure it will work...
