Just wanted to say thank you to everyone here who helped me so much with all of my questions!

I made a bert and ernie out of fondant - I am pleased with the results as it was my first time!

You did such a wonderful job. Those are absolutely adoreable. How did you do the sriped shirts??? I especially love Berts nose, what a hoot!!

How cute are they???? i want to do something like that but havent had the time.. how long did it take you?? and what type of fondant did you use.. when i do 3d fondants i always have to add a bit of gumpaste.

Adorable! I've been getting into fondant molding as well...isn't fun to see the end results when it works out the way you want it to? and isn't it aggravating when it won't!!

I've made almost the identical things from polymer clay several years ago. That's why I like fondant, I can do similar things!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Here are some answers to some questions:

I just used the premade wilton fondant and added color and gum tex to it.

Bert took me probably 2 to 3 hours! (I think bec. I didn't know what I was doing). Ernie went much faster - maybe an hour - it was much faster because I already had many of the colors made from leftover Bert fondant.
