What kind of frosting goes best with a butter pecan cake?

I prefer vanilla it seems to allow the butterpecan taste to take centre stage. Thats just my preference.

hey i used buttercream and creamcheese mixed , and my job loved it

I don't have a recipe, just plan on using the box mix. I want the frosting to be dark and light chocolate for the look. But wasn't sure how that would taste.
