NEW RULE: PERSONAL PHOTOS allowed in LOUNGE

After much deliberation, Jackie and I have decided to modify our rule preventing people from posting photos with Faces.

We are going to start allowing Personal Photos to be shared in the LOUNGE only.

WHY THE LOUNGE?

The Lounge is blocked from being searched by Search Engine Spiders, so your photos will not end up on Google Images or Yahoo Images. Also, only registered members can view the LOUNGE.

WHY THE CHANGE?

This community is a family, and we know people have been dying to show off their loved ones.

WHAT IS APPROPRIATE?

- This is intended to allow the sharing of baby photos, children, spouses, pets, etc.

- Personal Artwork not related to cake, cookies and candy

- Your new motorcycle or car

These are just examples to illustrate the intention.

WHAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE?

- Lewd photos (this is subjective, but maybe the community doesnt want to see the ladies in Bikinis and the men in speedos for example)

- Advertisements

- Photos of people you do not have permission to post

THIS IS A TRIAL PERIOD

We are trying this out to see how the community handles it. Because it can be subjective, the moderators will use their best judgement in determining what is appropriate or not.

Thank you, Heath and Jackie.

I am a relatively new member to CC and am enjoying it here a great deal. It seems to me that allowing the photos in the Lounge is a good step towards members getting to know each other a little better. I am one of those that makes friends quite easily and when I can put a face to a name it makes it more personal.

Great site! So far I am happy with everything about it and am very appreciative for all you and Jackie do for all of us. thumbs_up.gif

Ooh, this should be really cool. I'm sure most everyone here will enjoy this new feature and adhere to it's very-easy-to-follow rules. Thanks Jackie and Heath, not only for this new adventure, but for all the hard work you two do keeping this site up and running!!

Heath-PLEASE don't take me wrong, I love the new edition, and I am sure I am going to be digging up some pics to post icon_lol.gif , but I am confused. I thought we weren't supposed to post pics in a thread, instead just post a link to it, because of causing extra storage space? icon_confused.gif
