For those who use Betty Crocker cake mixes, which do you prefer for "white cake"? My store carries the following: Vanilla, Golden Vanilla, French Vanilla, Natural Vanilla, Golden Butter White and White. Which one is best for just the basic, everyday "white cake flavor" that most people want when they ask for "white cake"?
Any other tips on BC cake mixes? I make ice cream cakes and find that BC works well.
Thanks
I use Duncan Hines only.. And I very seldom buy just plain vanilla or white cake mixes. I buy French Vanilla.. My Favorite for a "white cake"..

The French Vanilla is a nice one. If I use a cake mix that's the one I use. people love it. I would recommend trying them all with various fillings and see which fillings go best with which flavours. That's what I do.
MMMM that french vanilla is really good. People seem to love it! But if they ask for white, I usually use the white mix. I substitute the french vanilla for yellow. I personally prefer Pillsbury Classic white over the other brands though when it comes to white mixes.
I use the standard white when a customer asks for it. I offer the french vanilla as well and often tell people that it kinda falls between the white and yellow flavor-wise. I personally don't care for white cake, but a few customers like it.
I'm a BIG French Vanilla fan!!
I didn't know they had so many other vanilla options though!! I've only seen the French Vanilla one here in Canada.
