I made a froze some MMF in November and haven't had a chance to use it. I'm making a cake for a friend's shower this weekend but I don't know if the MMF is still good.

Will it be ok to use after being in the freezer for 3-4 months?

I don't believe MMF can be successfully frozen. I would think the melting process would cause it to become mushy/slimy. That said, I've never tried freezing it. Personally, I'd just make a new batch for your friend's shower as it really doesn't cost much to make and you'd ensure it would taste its best.

I've heard of people freezing their MMF before. Usually they say it comes out a little dry and some water needs to be incorporated back into it. But I forget how long people froze it for.

Hmm

I have frozen MMF for several months(3) before. You may need to put it in the microwave again for a few seconds (not long) with a little water. My results, it actually seemed easier to work with a little "warm". It was easier to roll out and cover the cake (didn't crack). Good luck, Holly
