I have to make a cake for a 7 year old who is having a TRANSFORMER Birthday party and I am at a loss. I already talked to the mom about using figures on the cake rather than doing a BCT or a character cake. Does anyone have any ideas of what the cake could look like. My son is too young for transformers and my nephews are not into them. I could always fall back on just a round in corresponding colors, but would rather make it a little more interesting. Here is a pic of the Transformer that I put on the invitations ...

All I could think of is a FBCT of the transformer on to the cake, or maybe a cookie that could stand up on the cake, I do not how you could make the cookie, but it is an idea.

Hi there,
Why not just do a transfer of the transformers logo? Would that work?

Hi, when my boys were small transformers was popular. If I remember correctly, they were robots that could transform into a specific vehicle, plane, etc. I know Wilton has a car pan, maybe you can do some slight adjustments to it and add guns on the sides to make it look like the pic attached?

What about a round cake you could sculpt to make it look like the face of one of the transformers, instead of doing the whole body?

Thanks for all your input, I'll talk with the mom and give her some ideas of what it could look like. I am not a big fan of doing these character themes.

Hi Schmoop,

I am also making a Transformer cake for this weekend.
I am making a two tier cake (8 inch bottom and 6 inch top). I did a google image search on the internet and got transformer images that i printed onto edible frosting sheets. I plan to put them on the sides of the cakes and frame them with small frosting boarders. On the top of the 6 inch round, i am thinking of putting the images onto chocolate clay and standing up off the cake (i hope this works).

Anyway, good luck with your cake and i hope this may help with an idea.

The transformer you put on the invitations is named "Optimus Prime" he is an Autobot is the leader of the good transformers, and transforms into a big truck.

The bad transformers are called the Decepticons.

You can go to this link for way more than anybody ever really wants to know about these guys

Here are their symbols.

Hi Schmoop,
I just went to google.com and clicked on images. Then i typed in Transformers and it came up with all kinds of pictures to choose from.
Click on the one you want and then you may have to click on the small image again at the top of the page to get an idea of how big it is. Then you can select, copy and paste to a blank page on microsoft word if you have it and you can print from there.
Hope this helps!

ALso check out my pictures. I made one for my BF's nephew last year and I was at a complete loss.... My BF had to give me a Transformers 101 class before I could make it, and I think I failed b/c I don't remember any of it. But I did each logo on each side of a taller cake. If you would like my templates just let me know.

Totaly off topic but I LOVED the transformers as a kid. Alien_Sunset
that was way to much info on the site. LOL but I loved it.

Transformers robots in disguise

Back on topic I love the use of the logos. That's a good idea. With the robats. Toys R us sells small ones and the are not to expensive. I brought a few over the holidays.

Optimus Prime is just had to find he is so popular but his buddies are there

Good luck & don't forget to post the pic.
