Does piping gel expire? I have some piping gel that has never been opened from 2004. I haven't had to use but would like to soon. Should I go buy a new bottle?

there's a recipe here to make your own. It's cheaper, if you already have everything. Search Recipes and it looks to be pretty easy.

I don't know if it expires, I don't think there's anything in it to go bad. I know it will seperate if not used for a while, but can't say if it's gone bad, for sure.
