Just have a general question. I am making an 11X15 chocolate cake. I have the temp. set at 325 but I can not remember how long it should take to get done. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

According to my baking instructions it should take 35 to 40 minutes but it usually takes at least 45 minutes when I bake one.
Yea I guess your right it seems it always takes it longer I think 50 min. is what I always cook it for. No my cakes are never dry or over cooked, maybe my oven is off!!!!
If your oven temp. is off then mine must be too! I don't know how they figure the baking times but my cakes always take 5 to 10 minutes more to cook. And mine don't end up dry either. I have found that the flower nail works great when baking a larger cake.
Yes I always use the flower nail in the larger cakes too, I do know when you bake under 350 it always takes longer. I guess do the toothpick test or just listen the cake will not be making any noise when it is done also.
