OK folks, this has been bugging me for a looooong time, so here goes.
Am I the only one that hated those tilted cakes? I think they look like the nightmares I used to have when I first started baking. Like when you can't sleep because you are getting ready to bake your sisters wedding cake, and you drift off to sleep and are jolted awake by the image of a lopsided 3 teired thing that you cant get rid of. I guess I'm just an old fogie, but I would never be able to do one of these, NOT ON PURPOSE ANYWAY!!!OK, now I have said it. I feel better, Come on y'all tell me the truth? Am I the only one?

I haven't tried the tilted one yet, But I would like to try one just one time. Funny how used to you wanted them straight as a stick and now lop sided is the thingicon_smile.gif

Actually, I like them in the right context. I made one of my nephew's birthday and I thought it was awesome! Now--I don't particularly care for them for a wedding or a more "formal" event--but for a bday or other informal party--I think they are cute.

I'm sure this craze won't last--they never do.

I think they have their place. When you have a really whimsical theme, like Alice in Wonderland, Dr. Seuss, etc. I think they are very appropriate. I also think that they need to be done really, really well to look good. Otherwise, you're right they look like something you wouldn't want anyone to see. I'd love to try one, but so far lack the courage!!

I'm actually going to give the tilted cake a try at the end of the month for my daughter's 19th birthday. She's kind of quirky so I know she'll love it. Wish me luck! icon_smile.gif

I don't know, for kids it seems kind of fun and cute. I've been wanting to try it...
