Did she give you any more specifics? Number of servings or size of cake, shape of cake, stacked or tiered? Do you know what she wants for the cake topper? That might help you with ideas for the cake itself.

That sounds awful.

I'd pick one color and do most of it with that, and then use the other for only a few accents.

Thanks for your quick response.

The cake is going to be stacked and the sizes are 12", 9" & 6". She did not specify what she wants as the cake topper, she said i should use my dscretion and use a nice topper.

Waiting for your response.

Thanks

Fola: I think if you kept the green very classy & muted it would go really well with the burgundy. Green is very in for wedding cakes right now.

Maybe a mint green cake with scrolls in the same color with big deep wine colored roses cascading down the tiers & maybe a ribbon around the tiers to pull it together. (Don't have a picture..just an idea in my head)

I found a few cakes for you maybe to get inspiration from. The third cake is more of a limey green, but I could imagine it with a more muted mint colored green & burgundy roses.

Hope these help give you some inspiration

There is a burgandy colored cake here, but I bet you could add the green to it, somehow, and very minimally.

Even a hunter green and burgandy cake is screaming 1992 to me! icon_surprised.gif

Does she have a flower to work off of or something with the color scheme. I'm having trouble picturing lime with burgundy.

Did she maybe mean sage instead of mint? I could see that moreso than mint.

Fola, How's it going? Did you get any more direction from the bride?
