... but they are worth it in the end. At class tonight we learned a few more techniques (which included those cute clowns) but this is what I chose to add to the tops of my cupcakes...

Those look good! I like the zig-zag decorated ones. That's a nice way to decorate them.

I found that using tip 1M, I managed to get the swirlly design found "in the store" on my cupcakes. I thought they were hard to ice too.

I use the 21 star tip to frost my cupcakes and make the swirlly design. Start at the inside of the cupcake paper and work towards the center. Very easy and it looks professional.

Very cute! I made some cupcakes for my daughter's 'unofficial' bday party that we brought to relatives out of town. I used a star tip and swirled all the way around (tinted light blue icing) and these really chunky sugar crystals in pink, blue and yellow all 'confettied' on top. They were so cute! icon_biggrin.gif

I can't believe it is my final class of Wilton 1 next week already. I'm so glad I'm signed up for Wilton 2 which immediately starts the following week. Still undecided about Wilton 3 but I probably should sign up for it now in case it gets full.
