How long does the edible ink last after you use it even just once? I just bought, at a seriously huge discount, a Canon ip5000! I don't have the edible ink or papers yet. I do not anticipate I will be using it all that often but when I do use it for the first time it might be a while before I use it again. How long can you go without using the printer/inks without them drying out on you?

My instructions say to make sure you print something every 2 weeks or so but its easy just to send regular paper through and print a picture. I have let mine sit that long and it prints great when I get it going again. As long as you put through a test print every couple weeks you should be great.
