Hi Andy;

I do this as a hobby and to relieve stress from my 9-5 job so I can't answer your question. But this is a "bump" for you (moves it to the homepage again).

That varies so much from state to state, to city to city that I don't know if it can really be answered with an amount. Sorry! LouAnn

If they work at a grocery store, I think the "average" pay is still about $9/hr. If they work full time at 40hrs/wk, they would gross around 18,000-assuming they would take two weeks (probably unpaid) vacation per year. You will probably get a lot of different answers and all will be correct-it just depends where the decorator works, if they are in business at a grocery chain, a high-end bakery, or for themselves.

I try to make a $8-$11 profit per hour if I can...this is just on the side but you could multiply that times however many hours you want. Benefits are flexible schedule but no paid vacations or insurance of course, etc. I work a part time catering position (for a few more mos that is until I give birth) and I make $15/hr so that is actually more profitable than baking at home...but baking at home is more convenient and pleasant, and saves gas money so... whatever you know. icon_smile.gif Also at home I don't have alot of overhead...were I to rent a kitchen or do other things I would have to raise my prices or lower my profits.

I think to make a living wage doing this from home you'd have to be doing it full time and have a fairly high volume...lots of weddings especially.
