Do you have some sort of problem with me? Are the designs on our web site not good enough for you?

I'll tell you this buddy, you could do a heck of a lot worse than stealing cake photos from Piece of Cake and I for one am insulted that every time I see a thread about someone stealing cake photos... I visit the offending website and what have you stolen from us? Nothing, nada, zippo, zilch.

Listen to me now and hear me later. One day, when you are sitting in your refrigerator box outside of CVS, eating deviled ham with a used popsicle stick... know that if you had taken the time and energy to steal a photo ot 2 from us, maybe... just maybe, you would be be eating that deviled ham with a shiny new plastic fork. Oh, you're still gonna to be homeless... let's face it... our designs aren't all that great, but at least with a little help from us you could have been "Upper Middle Hobo".


It should be noted that if you do steal my photos, the very least amount of legal action we will take would be a cease & desist order... but still, how about showing us a little something for the effort?

Hi - I just wanted to say that I visited your website just now and I think your cakes looked very beautiful! You are talented. It's unfortunate to see how rude other people steal your pictures and not credited your work.

Do you ever considering about adding a "watermark" on your picture? Maybe it will help you.

I'd also like to give the 'what for' to those jerks who have never stolen one of my pics. Yah, I'm glad, but it's just a little disappointing to think I'm not good enough either.

Too funny!! I was telling DH recently about some of the pic thieves...he actually asked if they had stole any of my pics! Poor guy, he's so deluded! Well, it's good to know that he thinks I'm good, he just has NO IDEA of the incredible talent out there.
At least that's one thing less thing I have to worry about! Anyone stealing my photos will not have to worry about generating a lot of business! (I don't mean to denigrate myself, I just am a newbie and I know my limitations! Got A LONG WAY to go before I get good enough to steal!)

ok i confess i dont know if this is stealing or not but i have a bunch or pic saved the easy ones only and when i run blank on ideas i run to see them i recently made two cakes that are in the galleries,and when i uploaded these i made sure to name the person i copied it from ,i just dont feel quit sure if this is ok with all of you so this is the place to bring it out i dont steal but want to make sure it ok with the owners of this cakes .isnt this site supposed to give us support and ideas ?

oh and i tried your roller and i loved it, ran into some trouble at the begining but works great ..

I was so angry,,,,but what happened to me was that "someone" took one of my cake design and then had the nerve to say, "they just invented this look"...

It does get the blood to boil over......WHAT NERVE!! What nerve....at least they could ask......like I have had some do but to either "say" or just steal pics and claim them to be their own is just out right rude.........

I, too, am always so annoyed for the photo-theft victims. But...I also have to admit that a little part of me is disappointed not to see my photos among the stolen.

Of course if it actually happened, I'd be furious.

one day...i will be good enough for ppl to steal my photos...thought about stealing some of ya'lls photos...but due to the fact that i do graphic art...as a hobby and had someone steal my background (for websites)...then claim it was thiers...i was pretty peeved...i did not want to disrespect any of you...

Oh absolutely!! You can recreate a design, but it's always nice to put "Thanks so-and-so for inspiring me" that sort of thing. Just credit where credit is due!!

Edited to add: if you don't remember where you saw the cake, you can always say, I got my inspiration from another CC member, or something like that.

Sorry to go to a serious specific, but isn't there something that you can do so that the pictures can't be saved/copied/etc. I remember there was an html code that you could put . . .it copyrighted the picture or something. This way, your pictures don't have the dumb watermark or anything.

I just have to say. I work in Mesa, I looked at your website and I felt "honored" that someone so great was so close to me! Your cakes are AMAZING! I don't sell cakes, but if it would make you feel better I'll post one in my gallery
