Hello all, I am still new to decorating and want to know if I can make some of the same flowers I made in the Wilton class with royal icing, but with buttercream? I guess if I used stiff icing, it may be ok.

yes you can make them out of buttercream. You would use the same consistancy of buttercream icing as you would use royal. You will either have to freeze them solid or you will have to let them air dry so that they can be picked up. With practice you can make them directly on the cake, but i stress it does take practice.

Thanks for you reply, and definitely, will freeze or air dry, before cake. Hopefully one day, I will be able to do them on the cake. Also, if I wanted to cascade them down a tier, would they stay in place with a dab of additional BC?
