I'm mixed on this. As long as it's just your name and email address and not a whole bunch of info, it might not be too much.

On the other hand, since they are favors, you might be pushing it. I was thinking that since I even individually package my cookies that go into boxes (not favors), that I could use a sticker with my info as the seal to the plastic bag (fold down and stick).

I'm mixed just because they are favors for a party and not just a box of cookies that someone ordered for a meeting, party, etc.. Does that make sense?

it does make sense.
maybe i'll just staple my card to the outside of the box and if someone asks her where she got the cookies she could show them the card.

thanks for getting back to me so fast.

I don't see anything wrong with putting a small sticker with your name and e-mail address on the back of the cookie bag. If you are selling these cookies then it would be expected that you will want to advertise. Just don't make the sticker too big.

Our best advertisment is word of mouth, and sometimes people are willing to recomend you but they can't remember your info, so the best way is to keep reminding them. I always try to put a bussiness card or sticker on the things I deliver.

I think it is fine to put a small label on the back. If they want the information, then they have it! Think of the many products you buy in the store.....they have their names on their products.... right!?

I like the idea of a sticker. Many people won't ask where the cookie came from but if it had the sticker they could look you up. Since it's for a favor many people won't even really take time to look at it until they are home.

I say use the sticker on the cookies and put a card in the package to the buyer.

thanks everyone for your responses.
maybe I will put the sticker on after all as its clear and can be "hidden" by the cookie.
i just didn't know if that would be the same as putting a handful of my business cards out on a table at a friends diner party (my cousin's husband did that once!)
thanks again!

i also use a sticker. i have been using the address label ones. i recently started rethinking. it just seemed too big for me. i want people to look at the cookie more than the label. to me the label should be secondary. i am trying to find a smaller label.

kneadacookie-

Can you fit your info onto half of the label and cut it in two, and then you will have twice as many labels!

i haven't played with them yet. i have the labels that are rounded on the edges, so i'd have to figure out how to work with that.
thanks michelle!!

Oh that's true, would have one rounded edge and the other straight. Might look funny. And I thought I had the world's problems figured out! LOL!

I put a sticker on the back of every cookie favor. It is a small sticker with only my website address in curly cue font and in hot pink so it looks cute too. icon_lol.gif

The stickers are Avery #5267 White Mailing Labels 1/2" x 1 3/4". I can print them up 80 at a time and the cookie hides the sticker. I have received many, many orders from those stickers. icon_smile.gif

I use these labels too. They are the size of a return address label. Just enough room for basic information but don't take away from the cookie. I put them on the back of the package so it is there, but out of the way.

i use a small clear label on the back on the bottom of the bag. has my company name and my website address. I actually think it looks more professional with the label on them. Why would you not - free advertisement for all who get one!

Yea, I like the idea of clear stickers with name and email only on the back of the cookie wrapper. Definitely sounds professional. Yeah clear is more than white, but it'll look good. Just my opinion icon_smile.gif

Since they are favors, I would omit the stickers and simply hand a stack of business cards to the hostess. You know people will rave over the favors and ask who did them. This way, she can simply give them a card. I would be afraid that the sticker would be tossed with the wrapper.

I put a small address label type of sticker on the back of every cookie that I sell. I use clear cellophane bags for packaging my cookies and before I fill the bag, I stick a label on the back of the bag near the bottom. It says my email address (which includes my company name in the address) and then below that it gives my phone number. The print that I use is a pretty fancy pink font and there is also a thin line of flowers and butterflies in between the email address & phone number. The label is fairly small though. I think it looks professional and neat. You definitely should include one label on all of your cookies bags BUT if you don't feel comfortable with that you can include one larger label on top of the box you are presenting them in. I've done that also. Advertise! Advertise!
