My bday is tomorrow but we had a gathering last night b/c my fil's birthday is today. ANyway, I was expecting a lot of little cake stuff like mats, cutters, etc, and some lenses for my scope. The very last thing I opened which I had no idea what it was was an Airmaster by Kopykake!! I spoke to Dh about it once or twice about how neat it would be to try it and that I could see using it but wasn't going to buy it for myself right now. I expressed more interest in other things than that but boy am I surprised and delighted that he did wonderful research and bought such a great one!!!

I'd like to get some suggestions on books for learning. Also, how well does it do black so I can quit making black icing?

Now... I guess I need to start making some cake!!

I use mine for black all the time... just make sure the icing underneath is either chocolate or at least grey rather than bright white (thin spots are far less noticeable that way!)

I love to use chocolate fondant when I'm looking for a black finish, it takes very little colour to look black!
