Just wondering if anyone is going to the cake show in State College, PA! Colette Peters will be teaching two classes on Sunday.

Maddyscreations(Lisa) and I plan on attending! It will be my first cake show and I am so excited! Lisa has been bothering me all week to say I would take a cake....not so sure about that.

By the way, Her mother called me last night and said she had to have an emergency surgery yesterday... I don't know all the details but please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope to talk with her tonight.

It's my first time also! I was thinking of bringing a cake but I've been pretty busy and Im not sure if I would have time.

I am planning on going as well and it will also be my first time since I just started decorating about a month ago. I am so excited too!

In another thread several of us are talking about getting together for lunch or something--maybe sitting together at the banquet..... When it gets closer I will PM everyone who is thinking about going!!! I can't wait!!

When is it? Where can I find out information about it? (Cost, place, times, etc, etc.) I would really like to go to something like that. I've never been!

I'm going to the PA cake show too! I can't wait, I'm super excited. I signed up for both of Colette's classes, all of the demos, and the banquet. It should be a lot of fun! I've never gone to anything like this before, I'm just now getting into cake decorating seriously so I think it will be great!

Lejla-Where do you live in PA? I'm about an hour from State College.

I always find out about these things WAY too late to participate, perhaps MODERATOR we can ask to have a forum category created just for people to post about these events so we can go there to search by our regions. I know I'd visit there all the time and then I wouldn't miss these things. I just don't know of any other way to find out about them!

Hi all I am kind of new her but no to this show have been going to it forever. I am sure you will all have a good time, with Collette doing classes this year it will probably be bigger than last year. If oyu bring a display you will be entered in the prize drawing also to be given at the banquet. We have a lot of decorating items donated from various companies. There is also a decorators choice award that you will be able to vote on if you bring a display. Looking forward to meeting all of you there.

I can't wait! I have never been to a show and also never been away from my family overnight!! What a vacation!!! I can't imagine what my DH and 4 year-old son are going to do --probably eat ice cream for dinner and stay up all night long, and I don't care I get to go to a cake show!!!!!

Maaaaan,I was sooooo excited about going.And now I can't go .I have to be at Lanchaster this weekend.I had all of the cake suppiles ready to try to do a cake,but it was all in vein.I wish you guys good luck there,and please let us know how it went .
