Something to make IN class, or something to make FOR class?

How about cupcakes or mini cupcakes since they are young?

You could also do a small cupcake cake, here is a really great tutorial on doing them: http://community.webshots.com/album/105830324epGFhn

If you wanted to make a cake, I would say a 6 inch cake would feed that many people, especially since they're young children.

How about heart shaped rice crispie treats? You can incorporate red sprinkles or maybe a few drops or red coloring?
