I have been racking my brain about what type cake to make for a baby shower cake. My Sister is a cowgirl thru and thru, No girly pink stuff in her. She is decorating her room in farm animals and having a baby girl. I thought about a rocking horse but she said thats to childish... UMM ok I thought it was for baby shower but ok... LOL so here I am trying to figure out what on earth should I do.. I asked the girl throwing the shower what theme she was using.. her answer I just loved. I dont know so do whatever you want on the cake. Don't you just love people like that.. Well I would love anyone to toss a sugestion my way! Thanks so much!

When I was reading this post I instantly thought of farm animal cupcakes. Maybe a cupcake tree with little pigs & cows, etc. Or maybe a tiered cake with the little fondant farm animals. Thats about all I can think of right now.

Not sure if the western boot pan is available anywhere but it would be cute with a baby coming out of the top. All you would need is a head and hands.

How about something with a cowboy hat and a lasso. That would be so cute.

How about a barnyard. I've posted a pic of the one I did. You could have something like Welcome to the herd, baby so-n-so on the little sign. YOu could make it the same colors as she is using in her nursery. the directions are on Wilton's website. I think it's under little red barn, but I could be wrong. Good Luck

Don't know how good you are w/ fondant... you could make a baby, wearing cowboy boots! Or a sleeping baby (head and hands) under a blanket w/ bandana print, or some kind of western blanket... rope around the cake, or bandana print swags (fondant drapes) around the cake... Hope that helps!

I found this cake the other day when I was looking for a christening cake idea. I thought it was SO cute. You could also do a little girl riding a hobby horse and maybe put some cowboy boots on her and a hat.
