I love the ease of the sleeve fillings, but as I only do this as a hobby, it takes forever to use one up. I have one in the freezer for about 4 weeks. I've used it twice, thawing it once and refreezing. Is this a problem? Since I assume these have a lot of preservatives, do you think it's still okay?

Once I open, I just seal it up good and put it in the refrigerator. It will be good for up to 3 months in the refrigerator. I wouldn't thaw and refreeze. Hope this helps. I use the filling alone and have mixed it into buttercream as a filling. It's really good that way also.

I would say when you buy one, open it and split it into perhaps 2 cup servings and freeze individually. This way you can have it for a while and not have to wonder if refreezing is bad. Better yet, if you have a vaccum sealer you can control the vaccum of, use that and it should last quite a while.

Thanks cindy - that's good to know - I didn't realize it kept 3 months in the fridge! (That's why I froze it, LOL)
