Who are your favorite cake artists? Whose work inspires you to get out the Kitchen Aid and cake pans? What do you value most about their techniques?
My favorites (to name a few) are Nicholas Lodge, Dede Wilson, Mike McCarey.......

Colette Peters, Earlene Moore, Mike McCarey, Duff Goldman and Sylvia Weinstock.

I the the orginality that each one possesses and how they push the envelope with designs.

Isn't Duff a hoot? I've watched him on the Food Network cake challenges. The cakes on his website are amazing. I love the colors he uses and how original some of them are - not just the typical pink and roses (thought I love those too).

Colette, of course! Jacques, although not a cake decorator, is my other favorite.
