Anybody got ideas for my daughters Best Friends Birthday Cake.

Shaped and covered in fondant preferably, I wouldn't know where to start with a sheet cake (Quantities etc)

She got an ipod for christmas I'm not sure what she's getting for her birthday, she seems to be into Groovy Chic, Bratz, her Mobile phone and an interest in boys seems to have appeared in the last six months, lol. Her bedroom is a groovy chic theme, don't know if you've got her in the states or not..

I'd like to do something special for her, love her to bits!!

You might do a whimsical cakes in the groovy chick colors - they are always so fun!

I thought about that but I have no dowels and no chance of getting to a specialist shop between now and then, the nearest is over 2 hours away so I can't support it.

Wonder how long for delivery from england, must check the web.

Could you find bubble tea straws? I think I have read that some people use them for doweling. I wouldn't make a huge multi-tiered cake with them but maybe just a small two tier would be ok. Someone else might be able to offer more just thought about those though!

Just doing all the funky colors and shapes on a round cake could be really cute. I did one with fondant flower cut-outs and then decorated each flower. The birthday girl was really happy.

Oh I love the Groovy Chick stuff! I picked up several mugs when I was in Scotland last year. You know, they (bubble gum) have a website that I think has coloring book type templates. Maybe you could use one of those to put on the cake, or sculpt one out of fondant? Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Ok, here is the Bubblegum club website: http://www.bubblegumclub.com/

Maybe you could do a FBCT?
