I've been making some miniature stacked cakes (serves 6-10) for fun lately, and sometimes I put filling in, and sometimes I don't. I LOVE the look of the little miniature (1 or 2 servings) cakes that are so trendy in the wedding magazines, but can't decided if they have fillings or not. What do you think??[/b]

I would add a filling.

www.justfab.com is a great website for mini's and eggs.

Wow, the mini cakes on that site are fabulous! Thanks to both of you for pointing it out! icon_smile.gif

Lenette, the minis that I've been doing are a 6" bottom, 4 1/2" tube pan center layer w/filling in the core, and a bundt shaped cupcake for the top layer. I've decorated them lots of different ways, they are MUCH less stressful than big cakes!

I'd like to do them more like the ones shown on the justfab.com site though, so I'll have to get some smaller pans! LOL I have down to 3" I think.
