I bought Wilton's 2006 "Tiered Cakes - A Showcase of Dramatic Designs for Special Occasions" yesterday at a local cake decorating store. There were only two of them. I love this book!! I didn't even know they were coming out with one, of course I don't ever pay attention to their online store products - only look at the pictures in the discussion forums!!

Just thought I'd let you all know it's in stores.

Okay, just looked at Wilton's online store at the books and maybe I'm just late seeing it. Some or most of you may have it already.

I have been looking for that book at a store (Michael's or Hobby Lobby) and have not seen it yet! I hope they get it soon! It looks cool.

I saw that online. I really like the "orb" pillars. It makes for a more interesting look!

It's a great book! I picked one up at my local cake decorating store a couple weeks ago. I haven't seen any of the new "hardware" available yet. I like the orb pillars, the curved satiny pillars and the new smooth edge separator plates.

Wow! That is great news. It has been a long time since Wilton has published something else besides wedding cake and fondant books. I only do cakes for family and work so haven't gotten into wedding cakes, as far as fondant........well, I just don't fondant.
Saw the cover at Wilton's site and it does look like fondant but I'm sure I'll be able to work my way around that.

I too will wait to use my Michael's coupon. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Oh my! I will obviously have to order mine online. I can't wait!! I just took a look at the globe pillar set and I am in love!!!!! I have to get a set of each! The look that they give is wonderfully original. I was just telling my husband that I was wondering what else could be used to seperate tiered cakes. And now I know!! Thanks for the info on the book, too!!

I also love the spheres. Doesn't that look great? I bet I could sell a bunch of cakes with those.

I haven't seen the book or the globe separators at any of the chains (Michaels, AC Moore, or Hobby Lobby)

BUT my local specialty craft/cake store has both. In fact they seem to get everything new and special from Wilton before it's even on the Wilton site.

Can't prove it, but it seems Wilton only lets chains have certain parts of product line and the really special (read higher end wedding) goes to the specialty stores that never give coupons or discounts.
